A Note From the Founder
Hello Lovely People!
I’m so excited for us to get to know each other better and grow together. If you’re anything like me, you probably spend a lot of time in your thoughts. My personal coping mechanism? I aim to make anything I dwell on positive. And in case you were wondering, you can flip the switch and choose to keep your thoughts positive – consistently, even.
Philippians 4:8 (NIV)
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
I often think about my late Nana and the words of wisdom she shared. Some were deeply wholesome, while others were quite colorful! She had definitely reached the stage of "I'm a woman of a certain age, and I say what I want." Haha! But I’m sharing this with you because we’re building trust, and I want you to know me as I am.
Three pieces of Nana’s advice have always stuck with me:
1. Where there is a will, there is a way.
2. Never kick a person when they’re down.
3. You reap what you sow.
With these principles in mind and my solid faith in The Lord, I believe wholeheartedly that you can do hard things. There is always a way – an honorable way – as long as you believe. I’m serious about this; I even have a tattoo that says Always Believe. I won’t show you a picture (it’s definitely “well-loved” by now), but take my word for it!
I also check my heart regularly, reminding myself that judgment isn’t part of our calling. None of us can assume why someone is in a particular situation or how they respond to it. With that in mind, I try to live by the idea that what we put into life is what we’ll get back.
Do I get it right every time? Absolutely not. I’m human, but I promise to be mindful. None of us are perfect, but we’re all capable of mindfulness and adjusting our actions to bring out the best in ourselves and others. The best part is: You Already Have What You Need.
